Introducing our new Euro and World Explorer bolt-ons, covering MORE THAN 130 COUNTRIES worldwide.
Both are daily bolt-ons that once activated, trigger whenever a device is used in any of the hundreds of countries that we now cover and allow customers to use their UK voice, text and data allowance abroad.
Users are only charged per calendar day and don’t get charged for ‘in zone’ roaming calls
With Europe Explorer you will pay only £3 per day when you call*, text** or use data in our Euro Explorer Zone (defined below). You’ll only be charged on the days you use your phone in our Euro Explorer Zone and usage will be deducted from your UK allowances.
With World Explorer you will pay only £5 per day when you call*, text** or use data in our World Explorer Zone (defined below). You’ll only be charged on the days you use your phone in our World Explorer Zone and usage will be deducted from your UK allowances.
These packages are subject to a Fair Usage Policy, which can be found here.
If you exceed your UK allowances at any time during a billing period:
- You will pay our standard roaming rates when roaming, which can be found in our travel.plan document here
- You will pay our standard UK rates when in the UK, which can be found here
Customer will be charged and usage will begin to be measured from the point in time that Customer first starts using data, sends an SMS/text or makes a call in the Euro Explorer Zone or World Explorer Zone (as applicable).
For charging purposes, a day begins at 12:01am GMT/UK time and ends at 12:00am GMT/UK time.
Only an authorised person can add one of the Explorer Daily Roaming packages to a Customer mobile number/SIM and we will send an SMS/text confirmation to the Customer’s mobile number/SIM when added. If you receive an SMS/text from us and have any questions, please contact Customer Services immediately.
The above cost applies per connection/SIM. Customers with a sharer.plan will need to add the chosen Explorer Daily Roaming Package to each connection/SIM that requires the package.
Opting out of EU Cap
Customer accepts that by adding a Euro Explorer package, it will be opting out of any EU Regulations which apply a cap on mobile data usage in our Euro Explorer Zone.
Customer accepts that by adding a World Explorer package, it will be opting out of any EU Regulations which apply a cap on mobile data usage in our World Explorer Zone.
Currently the EU default financial limit is €50 per month.
Notwithstanding that Customer will have opted out of the data cap applied under EU Regulations, plan.com will endeavour to assist Customers in managing their data usage and spend by sending notifications where usage reaches 80% of the package limit and subsequently when usage reaches 100% of the package limit.
If Customer usage exceeds the applicable limit in the relevant package, usage will not automatically be capped and Customer will be charged at the standard roaming rates.
Note that data usage in our World Zone is charged at up to £6.00 per MB and we strongly recommend disabling data to avoid bill shock.
